The Women's T20 World Cup is set to kick off on October 3, with Bangladesh taking on Scotland in their opening match in Sharjah.
Bangladesh team had an intense training session ahead of their game as they concentrated on football, running, and stretching exercises before ending the session with fielding practice to sharpen their overall skills.
Aside from their Asia Cup victory in 2018, the Tigresses have yet to secure any major accomplishments in either of the white-ball formats, despite occasional wins against top teams in bilateral series.
Tigresses captain Nigar Sultana Joty is determined to change the team's track record in previous World Cup campaigns and she is optimistic about this year’s extravaganza.
"I will say, it is much more important for the whole team (this season) because we have played as many World Cups; We couldn't do much to say except for 2014. It is more important for us because we want this World Cup to be one to be reckoned with and one to remember," Joty said in a BCB video on Wednesday.
Bangladesh played two warm-up matches in the UAE as part of their preparations. Despite a 33-run loss to Sri Lanka in their first game, they bounced back with a 23-run win against Pakistan in their second.
In Group B, Bangladesh will also compete against England, West Indies, and South Africa.
