Back in 2014, Anamul wrote a bold prediction in his diary: “By the end of 2025, I will have 50 centuries.” In February this year, he shared a photo of that diary page on Facebook. Now, with months still left in 2025, the right-handed batter has fulfilled that decade-old dream.

He has held the record for most centuries by a Bangladeshi in recognized cricket since January this year, when he surpassed Naeem Islam’s tally of 46 by scoring his 47th century in a BPL match for Rajshahi against Khulna.

He had equaled Naeem’s record back in December 2024 with an unbeaten 101 for Khulna Division in a National League T20 match.
