Bumrah regains No.1 ranking as Miraz improves in two categories

Jasprit Bumrah has been rewarded for his exceptional bowling performance in the second Test against Bangladesh, reclaiming the top spot in the Test bowlers' rankings, overtaking teammate Ravichandran Ashwin.
The Bangladesh camp also saw some improvements as Mehidy Hasan Miraz climbed four spots to 18th in the bowling rankings and up two places to fifth in the Test all-rounder ranking, while Shakib Al Hasan moved up five places to 28th.
Shakib took 4 wickets for 78 runs in the first innings, while Miraz claimed 4 wickets for 41 runs. Although Shakib went wicketless in the second innings, Miraz took 2 wickets for 44 runs.
Bumrah took 6 wickets in India's 7-wicket victory over Bangladesh in the second Test in Kanpur. Ashwin, who also grabbed 5 wickets in the same match, now ranks just one rating point behind Bumrah (870).
Meanwhile, after Sri Lanka's whitewash of New Zealand, spinner Prabath Jayasuriya achieved his career-best rating, moving up one spot to seventh in the rankings. He was named Player of the Series.
India's opener Yashasvi Jaiswal, who was named Player of the Match in the second Test against Bangladesh, also made significant progress in the batters' rankings. After scoring 72 and 51 in two aggressive innings, the left-hander moved up two spots to third, achieving his career-best rating.
