The upcoming season of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) is set to begin on December 27, with the players' draft scheduled for October 14. This season will introduce three new franchises to the tournament.

Before the draft, Dhaka's new franchise is likely to sign left-arm pacer Mustafizur Rahman. A source from the team confirmed this to Cricfrenzy.

Previously, it was revealed that the ownership of Dhaka’s franchise was grabbed by renowned mega star Shakib Khan's company, Remark Herlan.

The BPL's most successful franchise, Comilla Victorians, will not participate this time and Mustafiz, who played for Comilla last season, had to look for a new team.

There are rumors that Mustafizur might join Barishal or Rajshahi, but the star pacer is likely to choose Dhaka in the end.
