Bangladesh HP advance to final in Top End series

Bangladesh HP registered a 21-run win against Northern Territory Strike to clinch the final berth in the Top End Series at the TIO Stadium on Sunday.
Bangladesh scored 138 runs and successfully defended a low-scoring match by restricting Northern to 117-9 in 20 overs.
Shamim Hossain Patwari played an unbeaten 41 off 34 deliveries which propelled Bangladesh to put up a decent total.
Opener Jishan Alam (4), Parvez Hossain Emon (17), Tanzid Hasan Tamim (16), Afif Hossain (22) and Mahfuzur Rahman Rabby made small contributions.
Matt Hammond picked up a double for Northern.
Northern made a good start in pursuit of their target as openers put together 41 runs for the first wicket before the bowler's began to take wickets at regular intervals.
Ripon Mondol scalped three wickets, and Rakibul Hasan, alongside a wicket apiece from Abu Hider and Aliss Al Islam, helped restrict NT Strike to 117 for nine in 20 overs.
Bangladesh HP will play the final against Adelaide Strikers Academy today.
