Mahmudul ruled out of Pakistan series

Bangladesh batter Mahmudul Hasan Joy has been ruled out of the upcoming two-match Test series due to a groin injury, as informed by BCB physio.
Joy was an integral part of the Bangladesh A team, suffered the injury while fielding during the first four-day match against Pakistan A.
Mahmudul was supposed to join the national Test squad after completing the two four-day matches against Pakistan 'A'. However, the injury has now ruled him out of the opportunity.
Mahmudul delivered stellar performances in Bangladesh's High-Performance team HP's victory over Australia, scoring 69 and 65 runs in the two innings of the second four-day match and taking five wickets for 21 runs.
BCB is expected to announce Mahmudul's replacement today.
