Rain washed out the play of day three of the first four-day match between Bangladesh A and Pakistan at Islamabad Club Cricket Oval, Islamabad.
Stumps were called on Thursday without a ball being bowled after a day of rain. The wet outfield forced umpires to delay Thursday's start; light rain is forecasted.
The first four-day match between Bangladesh 'A' team and Pakistan Shaheen began on August 13th but was interrupted by rain on the first day. Due to the continuous downpour, only 46.3 overs were bowled. Of these, the Bangladesh 'A' team managed to score 122 in 44.3 overs.
On the second day, as there was no rain, there was no interruption in the match. As a result, Pakistan's batters played 88 overs throughout the day, and posted 367-4.
Umair Amin scored 177, Saud Shakeel 76, and Huraira made 39 runs. Hasan Murad scalped two wickets for Bangladesh.
However, because of the rain since the morning of the third day, the game could not start. After waiting in vain until noon, it was announced that the game of the day was abandoned.
