Ebadot eyes to make return with India Tests

Bangladesh fast-bowler Ebadot Hossain was hopeful for a comeback to cricket from a long ligament injury with the upcoming India Test series in September.
Ebadot was ruled out of International cricket since the Afghanistan series in July 2023. Following that, he missed major events like the Asia Cup 2023, T20I World Cup 2024, including other International Series.
The right-arm pacer held a practice session at the Sher e Bangla National Cricket Stadium (SBNCS) where he worked on his fitness and he expects to regain full bowling intensity within two to three weeks.
"I worked on fitness, batting, then bowling at the end. I started bowling a month and a half ago, the bowling intensity was 70-80% earlier, but it is still the same. The trainer gave me a program to help me to learn how to bowl and maintain fitness. I am following that for now. The bowling percentage is same as 80%. I hope to be able to bowl at full intensity in two-three weeks," said Ebadot.
The Tigers are scheduled to play two Test matches against India after the Pakistan tour. Ebadot believes he can recover before the India Tour and vows to make quick return to the Test fold.
" I want to play against India. As there are two Test matches in India, I am focused on regaining my Test fitness before that series. If I get the chance to play a four-day match prior to the India series, it will help me assess my readiness to feature in the Test matches," he added.
