Bangladesh HP failed to defeat Tasmania Tigers in a close contest, suffering a five-wicket loss in the tri-series at the TIO Stadium.

Swashbuckling Jake Doran smashed a 37-ball 71 knocking four boundaries and three sixes in pursuit of 167 runs to quench the team's victory over Bangladesh. Rakibul Hasan was the pick of the bowling attack, taking two wickets, however, it wasn't enough to restrict the Tasmanians.

After being invited to bat first, Bangladesh HP posted 166-5 in 20 overs. The openers Tanzid Tamim and Jishan Alam gave a solid start to their innings amassing 71 runs for the opening wickets.
