Shakib hits ton after five-year drought

Veteran Shakib al Hasan scored a century in a Dhaka Premier League (DPL) match against Gazi Group Cricketers after a five-year-long hiatus.
Shakib scored 107 runs from 79 balls, including 7 sixes and 9 fours, for Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club. He last scored a century against the West Indies in June 2019 World Cup, playing an unbeaten innings of 124 runs.
Shakib joined Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club in the Super League, he appeared in 4 matches earlier today. He reached his fifty in 43 balls and reached the milestone in just 30 balls.
Shakib scored 107 runs before getting caught by Sheikh Zayib off Abdul Ghaffar's. His ton powered Sheikh Jamal Dhanmondi Club set 278 for 8 in 50 overs.
