Salt, Shreyas hand KKR fourth win of season

A century run stand between Phil Salt and Shreyas Iyer helped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) thumped Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) by eight wickets in the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL) at the Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Chasing 162, KKR finished things off in 15.4 overs and with 8 wickets to spare. KKR lost a couple of early wickets in the powerplay but Shreyas Iyer joined Salt and propelled KKR cruised to win.
Salt scored 89* off 47 balls while Shreyas Iyer scored 38*. For LSG, Mohsin Khan scalped two wickets.
Earlier, Lucknow Super Giants scored 161 for 7 against KKR in the allotted overs. Nicholas Pooran made 45 off 32 balls and KL Rahul contributed 39.
Mitchell Starc took three wickets for KKR, while Vaibhav Arora, Sunil Narine, Varun Chakravarthy, and Andre Russell took one each.
KKR now sit second on the points table with a win in the first of their five straight games at home this month.
