Shakib played for Montreal Tigers in the previous season and another Bangladeshi cricketer Litton Das featured for Surrey Jaguars.
Shakib appeared in four matches and took five wickets scoring 112 runs with the willow.
Many International cricketers like Andre Russell, Australia’s Chris Lynn and the West Indies all-rounder Carlos Brathwaite, and England’s Alex Hales participated in the tournament.
The Global T20 tournament is usually held in June-July every year, but this time it may be postponed to July-August due to the World Cup.
