Bangladesh pacer Fariha Trishna etched her name in the records of women's cricket history by becoming only the third player to secure more than one hattrick in her career as the latest feather in her cap came during the riveting clash against Australia in the second T20I at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur.
Trishna had previously showcased her prowess with a hattrick on her debut T20I appearance during the 2022 Asia Cup encounter against Malaysia in Sylhet.
Today she scalped the wickets of Ellyse Perry, Sophie Molinuex, and Beth Mooney off the final three deliveries of Australia's innings. Her remarkable figures of four for 19 in four overs played a pivotal role as Australia posted a challenging total of 161 for eight.
Joining the elite company of Hong Kong's Kary Chan and Uganda's Consylate Aweko Numungu, Trishna's achievement underscores her exceptional talent and determination on the field.
With this remarkable feat, Trishna scripted history by becoming the first Bangladeshi women's cricketer to clinch two T20I hattricks.
