Bangladesh- Afghanistan post World Cup series postponed

Bangladesh Cricket Board made an announcement on Saturday regarding the rescheduling of their anticipated all-format away series against Afghanistan, originally slated for July, according to Cricbuzz.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board was set to host Bangladesh for an exciting lineup of two Tests, three ODIs, and three T20Is, directly following the conclusion of the ICC T20 World Cup.
This adjustment in the schedule means that Bangladesh's cricket calendar for 2024 will undergo some significant changes.
Bangladesh were expected to play 12 Tests in 2024 along with other white-ball matches but now Bangladesh will be focusing on eight Tests for the year.
This shift became necessary as their two-match Test series against Zimbabwe, initially planned for May, has been rescheduled, with the teams opting instead for a series comprising five T20Is.
Nevertheless, Bangladesh's cricket itinerary remains packed beyond the ICC T20 World Cup. Following the conclusion of the tournament, Bangladesh will embark on a tour to Pakistan for a compelling two-match Test series. Subsequently, they are scheduled to head to India for a series including two Tests along with three T20Is.
In October, the action will return to Bangladesh's home grounds as they gear up to host South Africa for a riveting two-match Test series. Then, in November-December, Bangladesh's journey continues as they venture to the West Indies, set to engage in two Tests along with three ODIs and three T20Is.
