Rishad gets fifer in DPL

Leg-spinner Rishad Hossain showcased his burgeoning talent by securing his inaugural five-wicket haul in List-A cricket during Shinepukur Cricket Club's clash against Brothers Union in the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) at BKSP Ground 3 in Savar on Thursday.
Despite Rishad's commendable effort, Brothers Union managed to post a challenging total of 222 for 9, largely propelled by Abdul Mazid's impressive knock of 95 after opting to bat first.
In response, Shinepukur's pursuit fell short as they were bundled out for 196, resulting in a 26-run defeat.
Rishad's notable figures of 5 for 49 underlined his prowess with the ball, despite the loss.
Having participated in just nine List-A matches, including three ODIs, the 21-year-old leg-spinner has already made a mark by claiming nine wickets in three outings for Shinepukur.
Despite being earmarked as a potential candidate for the national team, Rishad has encountered limited opportunities at the club level, with teams often favoring off-spinners over wrist spinners.
However, his recent performances suggest he is a promising prospect who could soon demand more attention on the domestic and international stages.
