Mumbai Indians roped in Luke Wood as replacement of Behrendorff

Mumbai Indians named England pacer Luke Wood as a replacement for the injured Australian fast-bowler Jason Behrendorff for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024.
The left-arm pacer recently played in PSL and BPL and ow he has joined Mumbai at his base price of INR 50 lakh.
Behrendorff was ruled out of the IPL after he broke his leg in a freak accident while training in Perth last Thursday just before leaving for India.
Behrendorff's injury is a major setback for Mumbai as he had an impressive performance last season, taking 14 wickets in 12 games.
Additionally, during the second ODI against Bangladesh, Sri Lankan left-arm seamer Dilshan Madushanka picked up an injury, which is likely to keep him out of the initial stages of IPL 2024.
Wood has taken eight wickets in five T20Is at the international level. In T20s, the 28-year-old has 147 wickets from 140 matches with an economy rate of 8.45.
