Bangladesh uncapped spinner Aliss Islam has been ruled out of the upcoming three-match T20I series against Sri Lanka, confirmed by Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) selector Hannan Sarkar.

Hannan told Cricfrenzy that Alice had been ruled out with a finger injury. He also mentioned that the board has decided not to add any new spinners as there are already three spinners in the squad Taijul Islam, Shak Mahedi and Rishad Hossain.

Aliss made a great impact for Comilla taking nine wickets in eight games with an economy of 7.17 which earned him a spot in the T20Is against Sri Lanka.

The Comilla Victorians' spinner was supposed to join the national team in Sylhet today ahead of the series after the conclusion of the 10th Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).

Bangladesh will kick off the three-match T20I series which is scheduled to be held on March 4, 6, and 9, respectively. All the matches will be staged at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
