Comilla Victorians captain Litton Das expressed disappointment over the defeat against Sylhet Strikers in their recent match in BPL, stating that it served as a 'reality check' for the team.
Comilla suffered a slim 12-run defeat even after a blistering 58-ball 85 by Litton chasing 178 runs. The captain admitted that they could not perform up to the mark which cost them the match.
"As a captain, I think it has been good. In cricket, if you win every day, and then you become carefree. In my opinion, it has been a reality check,” said Litton.
The four-time champions had an easy chance to claim the super-4 spot with the match, but they still have two more matches so the captain believes they can make a comeback.
“You might have star players in your team, but you need to perform at the right time to be able to win the match. Today is the proof of that. But we can make a good comeback,” he said.
Litton said he wasn't bothered about missing a century instead he would be pleased to contribute to the team's victory in the match.
"No regret that I have missed the century. If we could win the match there would not be any disappointment. Whether you score around 90 or 80, at the end of the day, we lost the match. We lost two points. A little disappointed with that,” he added.
