Alex Hales joins Khulna Tigers

English star Alex Hales has joined Khulna Tigers to play in the tenth season of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), while South African pacer Wayne Parnell has also included in the squad.
T20 batter Hales was once an indispensable member of the England team as this explosive batsman had a great contribution in winning the title of England in the 2022 T20 World Cup.
The 35-year-old Hales has scored 12,089 runs in 437 recognized T20 matches. Apart from 6 centuries, he also has 77 fifties to his name. He scored this run at a strike rate of 146.60.
Wayne Parnell, on the other hand, was once a regular face in white-ball cricket for the South African national team. Now playing in worldwide franchise cricket leagues. The 34-year-old Parnell has so far played 288 matches in recognized T20Is and has taken 305 wickets at an average of 25.26.
Khulna had a good start by winning the first four matches in this year's BPL. But then lost three consecutive matches and fell out of the top four. At the moment, Anamul Haque Bijoy’s team is at number five with 4 wins in 7 matches.
Earlier, Caribbean all-rounder Jason Holder bagged in the team ahead of the Chattogram phase.
Mohammad Newaz, Faheem Ashraf and Mohammad Wasim have played regularly as foreign players in Khulna. But they have returned to the country to play PSL.
