Taskin wants to skip Sri Lanka Test

Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed played the ODI World Cup last year with an injury and after the tournament, he took a break on the advice of the medical department of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).
The national team's pacer, who hasn't played in Test series against New Zealand at home and during the New Zealand tour, is not keen on playing two Tests against Sri Lanka in upcoming March-April series.
It is understand that Taskin does not want to risk aggravating his injury before the T20 World Cup. If the pacer wants, he will be given a break from Test cricket, as stated by BCB's Cricket Operations Chairman Jalal Yunus.
The T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place in the United States and the West Indies in June-July. BCB does not want to take any risks with Taksin to ensure his complete fitness for the tournament.
In the recent past, Taskin was not given NOC to take part in the Indian Premier League as BCB was not ready to take risks with the injury-prone pacer ahead of the ICC T20 World Cup.
"The matter with Taskin is not what you think. If he doesn't want to play in the Test series against Sri Lanka, we will discuss it. However, we also don't want to take unnecessary risks with him, as the World Cup is ahead. If he doesn't want to play Test against Sri Lanka, we won't force him." Jalal Yunus said to Cricfrenzy.
Taskin’s last innings in Test cricket saw him take 4 wickets for 37 runs in 9 overs against Afghanistan in June. Since that Test, he has been absent from the longer format of the game.
