Sohan believes Shakib will return as ‘All-rounder’ in later part of BPL

Shakib Al Hasan, the versatile cricketer, has become a complete bowler instead of an all-rounder due to an eye problem. He has not batted in the last two matches in the jersey of Rangpur Riders and before that, he played at number eight in the previous match. However, Shakib is gradually overcoming eye issues.
After medical treatment in Singapore, it was learned that Shakib is suffering from Central Serous Chorioretinopathy (CSC) in his left eye. Such eye problems often cause discomfort in vision, affecting his batting performance.
Nurul Hasan Sohan, the captain of Rangpur, hopes to see Shakib back in action in the later part of the BPL.
Speaking about Shakib's efforts to return to batting, Nurul said, "He is trying (to return to batting). Even on the rest-day, he is working for himself. The eye problem is reducing gradually. We hope to see him fully recover towards the tournament's end."
Nurul also expressed admiration for Shakib, saying, "Shakib bhai is one of the best all-rounders in the world. He is still an all-rounder. Perhaps, due to the eye problem, he is facing difficulties in batting now. But his presence on the field is crucial for us."
Rangpur got an eight-run win over Comilla today in their vital clash.
A different Shakib was seen today. Shakib was costly with the ball from his allotted four overs as he given 41 for 1.
Nurul gave him the bowl in the last over to defend 29 but Jaker Ali's (18* off four) hitting made Shakib look expensive.
"It was planned beforehand that he would come to bowl in the last over. It depended on the situation at that time, and it was decided that Shakib and Mahedi [Hasan], the left-right combination, would bowl one over each at the end."
