BPL inaugural match timing rescheduled

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced the revised schedule for the opening match of the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL).
The day matches, previously scheduled to start at 2 pm and the night matches at 7 pm, have been delayed by half an hour each, with the new schedule being 2:30 PM and 7:30 PM, respectively.
Each innings will run for one and a half hours, with a 20-minute break after the first innings. The second innings is expected to start at around 4:20 PM.
The 10th edition of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) 2024 is set to kick off on January 19 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur with a high-voltage encounter between the star-studded Comilla Victorians and Durdanto Dhaka.
The seven-team-based tournament will see 46 matches take place across 42 days of competition.
The matches will be hosted in three venues staging at Sher-E-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Sylhet International Cricket Stadium, Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Cricket Stadium, and Chattogram.
The Sylhet phase will begin on January 26, followed by the BPL’s return to Dhaka on February 6. The Chittagong phase will commence from February 13, and then the BPL will return to Dhaka on February 23.
All matches of eliminators and qualifiers including the final will be held in Dhaka.
