Bangladesh to play record amount of Test in 2024
|| CF DESK ||
The Bangladesh men's cricket team is gearing up for an intense year in Test cricket in 2024, with a packed schedule of 14 red-ball matches over the 2024 calendar year.
This marks a significant increase compared to their previous highest tally of 10 Tests in 2022. In 2023, they had a relatively light Test schedule with only four matches, securing victories in three and facing one defeat.
In the Twenty20 format, the Tigers are scheduled to play 17 matches in bilateral series and participate in the ICC Twenty20 World Cup, although the specific schedule for the tournament is yet to be announced.
However, Bangladesh's presence in ODIs is notably reduced in 2024, with only nine 50-over games on the calendar. This is a significant decrease from the 32 ODIs they played in 2023.
