Bangladesh coach Nic Pothas was confident as they prepare to take on New Zealand for the second T20I. According to the coach the Tigers have a huge opportunity to beat hosts on their soil and urged the players to carry the same enthusiasm.
Bangladesh clinched their maiden T20I win over the Kiwis in the first match of the series by five wickets. They also secured a solitary win in the three-match ODI series for the first time in the history.
"A golden opportunity to win the series against one of the best teams in the world. Boys should come down with the same enthusiasm as before. We want to get the best result. But don't forget they are one of the best teams in the world. We are enjoying this challenge,” said Pothas.
Bangladesh won their first-ever Test in New Zealand in Mount Maunganui last year, they will take on the opponent in the second match on the same ground so the coach remained hopeful for their series win.
“As we won by 5 wickets. A 5 wicket win is a big win in T20. If these guys keep playing for the next 2-3 years they will show what they can do. Batting is more difficult than bowling. You only have one chance. In bowling, you can come back with a good ball after a bad ball. Only one chance in batting. This is why you need skills,” he added.
Bangladesh will face the BlackCaps in the second T20I on December 29.
