Bangladesh crush UAE to win U-19 Asia Cup crown

Bangladesh clinched the U-19 Asia Cup beating UAE by massive 195 runs in the final at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Ashiqur Rahman Shibly registered his second century of the tournament while Maruf Mridha and Rohanat Doullah Borson picked up three wickets each to clinch the maiden Asian Cup title.
Tiger pacers dominated the UAE batters, as only Dhruv Parashar and Akshat Rai managed to reach double digits. The young Tigers folded the host UAE to 87 runs in 24.5 overs while defending 283 runs.
Apart from Maruf and Borshon, Iqbal Hossain Emon and Sheikh Jibon took two wickets apiece.
Earlier, Ashiqur scored a stunning 129-run knock after being invited to bat first as Bangladesh put 282 runs on the board.
Chowdhury Md Rizwan and Ariful Islam also played anchoring innings of 60 and 50 runs respectively.
For UAE, Ayman Ahamed was the top wicket-taker, with 4 scalps.
Shibli ended as the top run-getter in the tournament as well with 378 runs at a mammoth average of 126 in five innings.
The wicket-keeper batter won both the Player of the Match and the Player of the Tournament award.
