Rishad glad to find success in NZ’s cold condition

Bangladesh all-rounder Rishad Hossain was delighted to perform in the warm-up match in unknown conditions against New Zealand ahead of the three-match ODI series.


Bangladesh defeated New Zealand XI by 26 runs with an impressive show by Rishad Hossain who scored a crucial half century (87) and took three wickets.


Rishad, who came to bat at number seven, played a brilliant innings of 87 runs off 53 balls studded with 11 fours and four sixes.

After the match, Rishad said that his main goal was to 'survive' on the wicket and adapt to the cold and windy conditions of New Zealand.


“Firstly, the cold conditions here, we came two or three days earlier and tried to adapt to it. When the match began I was not thinking about the weather much,” said Rishad.


"I’ve tried to adapt to the condition and in terms of batting, I have got the opportunity to bat for a long time after a long time. Tried to score run being on the wicket,”


“In cold conditions, I always tried to keep myself warm. I had this thing in mind that I might have to bowl anytime. Felt a little uncomfortable due to the cold but everything is fine,” he added.


Bangladesh will play their first ODI against
