The mission in the Asia Cup for the Bangladesh Under-19 team has started with a match against the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and the team in the red-green jersey welcomed their opponents with a victory in their first match.

Bangladesh set a target of 229 runs for the UAE. Facing the controlled bowling, the UAE halted at 167 runs. As a result, the youth started their Asia Cup mission with a significant 62-run victory.

Bangladesh lost the toss at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium and was invited to bat. The opening pair of Ashikur Rahman and Jishan Alam built a solid partnership of 74 runs.

When Jishan was out for 42 runs, the batting order stumbled for Bangladesh. However, Ashik, playing with a half-century, helped Bangladesh reach a total of 228 runs.
