Taskin expects to return with Sri Lanka series

Bangladesh pacer Taskin Ahmed who scored his maiden Test fifty of his career in the one-off Test against Zimbabwe said he wants to be a reliable ‘tail ender’ for the team.
Taskin scored a crucial 75 off 134 balls, including 11 boundaries, while Mahmudullah played a magnificent knock and earned his maiden 150 in Test cricket after returning to the side after nearly 17 months.
The pair put up Bangladesh's greatest and second-highest ninth-wicket stand in Tests, totaling 191 runs.
Following such a performance, Taskin remarked that he wants to be a dependable tail-ender batsman who can assist the batter and handle difficult situations. He wants to be a tail-ender, who plays for Big Team.
“I always try to be a good tail-ender. Every big Test team has a tail-ender who is reliable enough. I also want to be a reliable tail-ender. So that, I can support the team or if there is a settled batsman. There is no end to the improvement. If I can improve then I can become useful during the tough situation of the team,” said Taskin.
Despite being a bowler, Taskin practices batting as well, he said he had already planned to do something after seeing the team's disaster.
"Besides bowling, I also practice batting. I had in mind to do something for the team. Since Riyad [Mahmudullah] bhai was there. My main goal was to support him. He was always talking to me and playing,”
The right-handed pacer added, "The main goal was to defend the ball in the stumps. Riyad kept reminding me of this. When I got the ball in my place, I tried to hit. I basically tried to play for the team”
