Shanto-Imrul out as BCB announces squad for first two ODIs against SL

Top order batsman Nazmul Hossain Shanto and opener Imrul kayes did not get a place in the Bangladesh team for the first two matches of the ODI series against Sri Lanka. However, despite many questions about the performance, the Soumya Sarkar got another chance as Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) announces 15-men squad for the first and second ODIs.
Shakib Al Hasan and Mustafizur Rahman, who returned to the country from the IPL are back in the squad.

BCB announced the squad in the middle of the warm-up match between Intra Bangladesh team at BKSP on Thursday. Mohammad Naim Sheikh and Nasum Ahmed are also out of the squad from the last tour of New Zealand.
Taskin expects to return with Sri Lanka series

The preliminary squad for the Sri Lanka series was announced on May 1. Kayes, Taijul Islam, Rubel Hossain, Hasan Mahmud, Shahidul Islam, Shanto, Naim and Nasum did not get a place in the final squad. Two pacers Rubel and Hasan were ruled out due to injuries.
However, Naeem, Taijul, Shahidul are on standby or waiting list. Although leg-spinner Aminul Islam Biplob did not get a chance in the preliminary squad but added later, also in the waiting list.
