West Indies scored 409 runs in the first innings of the second Test, leaving Bangladesh in despair. The biggest achievement came from their wicketkeeper-batsman Joshua Da Silva, who contributed 92 runs with 10 boundaries. However, he missed his first century of his career as he fell short of 8 runs.
The right-handed batsman expressed his disappointment after the match as he could not touch the desired three figures even after coming so close. During the first session of the second day, spinner Taijul Islam sent him off as he got bowled while defending the ball but it went between the pad and bat before hitting the stumps.
In the third Test of his career, he came very close to his first century but had to return with 92 runs. Silva looked very disappointed after being out. He did not want to leave the pitch, also admitted it at the end of the match, but he was very happy to help the team by picking up a half century.

"Very happy with the result. Got a half century, but it wasn't good enough. I was out for 92. I was gutted. Probably shed a tear or two as I walked off. Test cricket is all about batting time. It gets easier as you bat long.” Silva said

Silva also admitted the spinners' ball did not turn as expected. However, he expecting that the ball will turn more as the day goes on.
“It has not spun as much as I expected, but let's hope it spins more. None of the guys here are second-string players, because we all believe we are good enough.”
