West Indies ended fourth day of the first Test match against Bangladesh on 110-3, needing a further 285 runs for win in Chittagong. Bangladesh's spin friendly wicket helped the spinners from both sides to push their counterparts on the backfoot successfully. Windies spinner Rahkeem Cornwall is optimistic about the two batsmen to hold the ground for the first hour without losing any wickets.
As the “Mountain Man” said, “We have two set guys at the crease. They just have to start over tomorrow. The first hour is going to be crucial, and we can take it from there. Once we get past the first hour, we take it session by session, and see how far we can go.”
As time rolls, the more the spinners can dominate in Chittagong’s wicket. Evidence of this was found in the second innings of the first Test as 9 out of 11 wickets were occupied by spinners. When the spinner was asked about the condition of the pitch, he replied “I don’t think it would be an easy wicket to bat on the fifth day."
