New Zealand head coach Gary Stead said ICC should have considered sharing the World cup when the two teams were tied twice in the 50 overs and also in the Super over.
"Perhaps when you play over a seven-week period and can't be separated on the final day, that is something should be considered as well," Stead said when asked about being declared as the joint World Champions.
England were crowned the World Cup 2019 champions on a boundary count tiebreaker rule.

This rule was heavily criticized by many of the fans and cricketers after the final. Gautam Gambhir, Dean Jones, Brett Lee, Yuvraj Singh were among the criticizers. This rule was asked to review once again by many of them.
Stead also thinks it’s a good time for reviewing all the rules of ICC.
"But again that's one consideration over a whole lot of things that went on over the World Cup. Everything will be reviewed, and I think that it's a good time to do it now. But probably just let the dust settle for a while."
New Zealand batting coach Craig McMillan also agrees with stead. He believes sharing the trophy would have been the right thing to do.
"Then perhaps sharing the trophy would be the right thing to do. It wasn't to be yesterday, which we all are disappointed with. But it is sport and those were the rules," McMillan said.
