Bangladesh skipper Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said that he is not ready to blame Tamim Iqbal for missing the catch of Rohit Sharma that virtually turned out to be the deciding factor against India.
Bangladesh’s semifinal hope was ended after a middling performance that saw them concede a 28-run loss to India in their must-win game at Edgbaston in Birmingham on Tuesday.
Having restricted India to 314-9, at least 30 runs less than what the men in blue expected; Bangladesh came up with out-of-sort and jaded batting performance to be bundled out for 286 in 48 overs.

Rohit Sharma, survived from a regulation catch on 9 when Tamim spilled it, struck 92 ball-104, his fourth century in the tournament and KL Rahul scored 77 to set such a target for Bangladesh which was never easy on an increasingly deteriorating pitch.
‘’Rohit's catch was obviously disappointing, A batsman like Rohit Sharma in such form, but it happens in cricket and we cannot blame Tamim for that,’’ Mashrafee said at the post match presentation on Tuesday.
‘’ We couldn't make it but there was some good performances by Mustafizur,’’ he said.
Mashrafee added that though they had partnership it was never big enough to keep them at par with their opponent when they came to chase 315 to win.
‘’One of them had to go on and score 80-90. Bit of luck could have gone our favour,’’ said Mashrafee adding he was pleased with the Shakib al Hasan and Mushfiqur Rahim.
‘’The tournament has been nice, exceptional performance by Shakib and Mushi batted really well right through,’’ he said.
‘’We will try to play our best in the last game. They were here supporting us today as well,’’ he concluded.
