The situation in which Bangladesh are standing at the moment in this World Cup, they have no other way to be neutral in the match between India and England at Edgbaston in Birmingham.

The India vs England was supposed to be the dress rehearsal of the World Cup final as both of them came here with red-hot favourite tag but the cricket God probably has the other idea.

While India so far lived up to their favourite tag in astute fashion, England’s performance took a huge nosedive, keeping them in tricky position to even move into the semifinal.

India will play this match to confirm the last four spot with match at hands while for England it is the match to keep the semifinal hopes alive.

If India losses this game, they will have another two shots to reach the semifinal but in England’s case their hope to win the elusive trophy at their own den will be all but over.

Bangladesh is now in the city which will host this high voltage and they will be keenly watching this match for the sake of their own semifinal spot. In fact in this venue the Tigers will take on India in their ‘do or die’ match on July 2.

And it is all but sure Bangladesh will pray for the defeat of England at the hands of India, who for some reasons this country’s fans didn’t like. Obviously the no-ball saga that created a huge uproar in 2015 World Cup is in the forefront to make India as the bitter rivals for Bangladesh, at least in fans perspective.

The Bangladeshi fans still believe if Rohit Sharma was given out off the delivery of fast bowler Rubel Hossain, the Tigers can beat India to reach the 2015 World Cup semifinal.

But ironically, Bangladeshi fans now have to support India in full throttle against England.

Considering the magnitude of the match, Bangladesh player Mosaddek Hossain was also asked who Bangladesh will support in Sunday’s match.

Mosaddek particularly didn’t single out the name of any team—in fact there is term ‘diplomacy’ in cricket also. So for courtesy it’s not nice to single out any team’s name.

“It may sound selfish but will want the result that will be beneficial for our team,” Mosaddek said, replying to a query.
