New Zealand Under-19 cricket team will play their bilateral series against Bangladesh in April this year. The tour will be the first preparation campaign for the Young Kiwis ahead of the upcoming ICC 2020 Under-19 World Cup scheduled to be held in South Africa on January next year. The squad will leave for Dhaka on April 10 and will return on April 29, confirmed New Zealand Cricket (NZC).
New Zealand cricket board has announced a 15-member- squad for this campaign on Monday. The campaign will comprise one warm-up match, followed by five ODIs between both teams.

New Zealand Under-19 coach Peter Fulton believed this is a wonderful opportunity for them and they will get a lot of benefit from this campaign. “We see this as purely a wonderful opportunity; a sub-continental tour that the players will really benefit from. ’I think we’ll learn a lot about players over there. It’s about what they can learn on and off the park and it’s a really beneficial tour from a lot of angles,” the coach said to the reporters.
Meanwhile, the two teams have only met in World Cups to date, four times in total, and both teams have won and lost two games each.
New Zealand U-19 squad: Adithya Ashok, Lucas Dasent, Ruben Love, Joey Field, Jesse Frew, Nick Lidstone, Rhys Mariu, Ben Pomare, Tim Pringle, Dylan Sharma, Angus Sidey, Micah Conroy, Kristian Clarke, Jesse Tashkoff, Ollie White.
