Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has opted to change the timing for the first T20I match between Bangladesh and West Indies which will be hosted by the country's new Test venue Sylhet. One of the floodlights in the venue isn't working properly, which forced the BCB to change the match timing.
The first T20I was scheduled to start at 5:00 PM (local time), but BCB preponed it 2 PM keeping the dew and fog in mind. However, on Saturday, BCB director Shafiul Alam said that the game will start at 12.30 PM (local time).

Shafiul Alam, who also the head of Sylhet Division stated on media, "There are some technical problems in the tower that supplies power to run the floodlights. Though we are assured that it is possible to hold the match under it after being repaired within a day we just did not want to take any risk.
"NSC (National Sports Council) have already started to repair the problem in the tower and assured it will be alright before the day of the opening game but we cannot take any risk as it will be a huge embarrassment if the game is stopped for an hour or two under floodlights due to a technical problem," he added.
Sylhet is the eighth Test venue of Bangladesh. Sylhet hosted its inaugural Test between Bangladesh and Zimbabwe in October and has so far hosted one ODI and seven T20Is.
