Mussadek Hossain (Bangladesh)
Four years after his last international appearance, Mussadek Hossain marked his return in spectacular fashion.
The all-rounder was named Player of the Series as Bangladesh completed a historic 2-1 series win over Australia.
In his first international outing since November 2022, Mussadek announced his return with an unbeaten 86, two wickets and a superb running catch in the opening ODI. His all-round display powered Bangladesh to an 86-run victory, only their second ODI win over Australia in 23 meetings and their first in over two decades.
Across the three-match series, Mussadek finished as Bangladesh's leading run-scorer with 157 runs, including two half-centuries, as he played a central role in one of the country's most memorable ODI triumphs.
Nathan Smith (New Zealand)
Nathan Smith enjoyed a brilliant month as he spearheaded New Zealand's memorable 2-1 Test series victory in England.
The fast bowler finished as the leading wicket-taker in the series with 16 wickets and was named Player of the Series despite New Zealand losing the opening Test at Lord's.
His standout performance came in that very match where he claimed 3 wickets in the first innings before producing a superb 6 for 70 in the second innings. Smith continued to strike at crucial moments throughout the series as New Zealand bounced back to win the final two Tests and seal a famous comeback series victory.
With several New Zealand quicks unavailable through injury, Smith emerged as the leader of a depleted attack and delivered.
Shubman Gill (India)
India captain Shubman Gill enjoyed a prolific month with the bat across formats.
Gill began June with a commanding 126 in India's innings victory over Afghanistan in the one-off Test. His 11th Test century featured 15 fours and a six as he showcased his trademark off-side strokeplay and composure at the crease.
The right-hander then carried that form into the ODI series, where he amassed 238 runs in the two innings he batted. He struck 84 from 66 balls in the opening ODI before following it up with a magnificent 154 from just 110 deliveries in Lucknow.
Despite battling cramps during his innings, Gill accelerated through the latter stages of his knock and finished with another Player of the Match performance. His exploits also earned him the Player of the Series award.
