The Pakistan Super League (PSL) will begin after the conclusion of the T20 World Cup, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officially announcing the start date of the league’s 11th edition. PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi made the announcement during a roadshow in New York on Monday.

According to Naqvi, PSL 11 will get underway on March 26 and conclude on May 3. The timing of the tournament is expected to delay Pakistan’s scheduled tour of Bangladesh, a development reported by several Pakistani media outlets.

Naqvi hinted at possible changes to the national team’s international commitments, stating that Pakistan’s fixtures would be rearranged to accommodate the PSL window.

Geo News, citing a source within the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), reported that the tour would be rescheduled. The unnamed source said discussions between the two boards are ongoing and an official announcement will be made soon.

Under the 2026 Future Tours Programme (FTP), Pakistan are scheduled to tour Bangladesh for a full series comprising two Tests, three ODIs and three T20Is, with the series originally set to begin in April. However, with the PSL running until May 3, the schedule is now likely to be pushed back.

The PCB is also planning to expand the PSL to eight teams from the current six, which has contributed to the longer tournament window.
