The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has included Shamim Hossain in the squad for the third and final T20 International of the series. The decisive match will be played on Tuesday in Chattogram.

The three-match series is currently locked at 1-1. Left-handed batter Shamim has represented Bangladesh in 46 T20Is, and his experience could prove valuable for the team.

Shamim’s inclusion adds depth to Bangladesh’s batting lineup and strengthens the overall squad.

At the start of the series, the selectors had dropped Shamim from the squad. His omission led to visible frustration from captain Litton Das during a press conference, where he also complained that his input was not sought during the team selection process.

Later, chief selector Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu clarified his position, claiming that he had discussed Shamim’s exclusion with Litton beforehand. However, he admitted that the conversation remained incomplete, which led to the misunderstanding.

Bangladesh Squad:

Litton Das (captain), Saif Hassan (vice-captain), Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Parvez Hossain Emon, Tawhid Hridoy, Jaker Ali Anik, Nurul Hasan Sohan, Mahidul Islam Ankon, Sheikh Mahedi Hasan, Rishad Hossain, Nasum Ahmed, Mustafizur Rahman, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Shoriful Islam, Mohammad Saifuddin, and Shamim Hossain.
