According to the weekly update released on Wednesday, Saif has climbed 45 spots in the T20I batsmen’s rankings and now sits 36th with 555 rating points. The right-hander had already surged 133 places in the previous week.
Among bowlers, Rishad has progressed six spots, securing 20th position with 618 rating points.
In the Asia Cup Super Four matches last week, Bangladesh played their final two games. Against India, Saif was the lone fighter in the run chase, scoring 69 runs off 51 balls, including five sixes and three fours, though Bangladesh lost the match by 41 runs.
Against Pakistan, he managed just 18 runs with two sixes and a single four, as Bangladesh fell short by 11 runs, ending their hopes of reaching the final.
Currently, Saif leads the Bangladesh T20I batsmen rankings.
Captain Litton Das, who missed the last two matches due to injury, is three places behind at 43rd. Tanvir Hasan and Towhid Hridoy dropped four and five places, respectively, occupying 45th and 46th positions. Zaker Ali is seven spots lower at 63rd.
Rishad’s impressive bowling performances included two wickets for 27 runs in three overs against India and two wickets for just 18 runs in four overs against Pakistan in a do-or-die match.
Among other Bangladesh bowlers, experienced pacer Taskin Ahmed rose one place to 30th after taking three wickets against Pakistan. Mustafizur Rahman remains the top-ranked Bangladeshi bowler, with the left-arm pacer now at 11th position, two places behind the top ten.
