The Dutch team landed at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at 8:40 a.m. today (Tuesday) and later took a 12:30 p.m. flight to Sylhet, where all three matches of the series will be held.
Originally, Bangladesh were scheduled to host India this August for three ODIs and three T20Is. However, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) cancelled the tour citing security concerns.
With no international fixtures lined up for almost one and a half months before the Asia Cup, the BCB extended an invitation to the Netherlands, which they accepted.
All matches of the series will take place at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. The Dutch players will rest today after reaching Sylhet, while practice sessions are scheduled for tomorrow evening and the following afternoon.
The series kicks off on August 30, with the second and third matches set for September 1 and 3, respectively. All games will begin at 6:00 p.m. local time.
