The schedule and venues for the much-anticipated Asia Cup 2025 have been officially confirmed by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). While the tournament was initially scheduled to be hosted by India, political tensions between India and Pakistan led to a venue change.

As a result, the entire tournament will now be held in the United Arab Emirates, with matches spread across Abu Dhabi and Dubai. The final will be played on September 28 in Dubai.

This year’s edition will follow the T20 format and feature eight teams: Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, UAE, Oman, and Hong Kong. Bangladesh has been placed in Group B alongside Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, and Hong Kong.

All of Bangladesh's group matches will take place at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium in Abu Dhabi. The Tigers will begin their campaign on September 11 against Hong Kong, followed by a crucial encounter against Sri Lanka on September 13.

Their final group stage match will be played on September 16 against Afghanistan—a team that has posed significant challenges for Bangladesh in recent years.

If Bangladesh finish in the top two of their group, they will move on to the Super Four stage, which begins on September 20. All Super Four matches, as well as the final, will be hosted in Dubai.

This Asia Cup will serve as an important preparatory platform for Bangladesh ahead of next year's ICC T20 World Cup. With the team showing signs of rebuilding under a mix of experience and youth, a strong showing in Abu Dhabi could provide momentum and confidence for the months ahead.
