Northern Territory Cricket has confirmed that Pakistan Shaheens and Bangladesh ‘A’ will once again take part in the 2025 edition of the Top End T20 Series in Darwin.

Both teams are set to return to Australia for the increasingly popular tournament, with Pakistan Shaheens marking their third straight appearance after competing in 2023 and 2024.

Bangladesh ‘A’, runners-up in the 2024 final against the Adelaide Strikers Academy, will be aiming to go one step further this time.
The tournament will kick off with a high-profile clash between the two Asian sides on Thursday, 14 August at TIO Stadium, scheduled to coincide with Pakistan’s Independence Day celebrations.
This year's event further cements its international appeal, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) joining the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) in sending teams.

“We’re pleased to be returning to Darwin for the 2025 Top End T20 Series, which has quickly become an important fixture in our calendar. Playing in Australian conditions against quality opposition offers valuable experience for our emerging players and supports our broader development objectives,” BCB CEO, Nizam Uddin Chowdhury said.
“Our continued partnership with Northern Territory Cricket reflects a shared commitment to building strong international ties through the game. We’re particularly looking forward to the opening night clash on August 14 and the opportunity to showcase the talent coming through Bangladesh cricket.”
As a result, the Top End T20 now features participation from two ICC Full Members and one ICC Associate Member.
Organizers say fans can look forward to watching the next wave of cricketing stars from the subcontinent, as both the PCB and BCB continue to use the tournament to develop their emerging players in challenging Australian conditions.
