His outstanding contribution also earned him both the Player of the Match and Player of the Series awards.
The 27-year-old’s form saw him climb to a career-best second position in the ICC Men’s Test Player Rankings for all-rounders. He edged out Zimbabwe's Blessing Muzarabani and New Zealand pacer Ben Sears for the award.

Reacting to the win, Miraz said: “Winning the ICC Men’s Player of the Month award is a huge honour. It's a reminder of how far I’ve come, from being Player of the Tournament in the 2016 ICC U-19 World Cup to now getting this recognition on the global stage. This is incredibly special and motivates me to keep improving and performing for my country.”
