2 Jul 25Pakistan pacer Naseem Shah is likely to miss the entire upcoming ODI World Cup 2023 due to his shoulder injury sustained during the Asia Cup.
Naseem walked off in the middle of the 46th over during Pakistan's second game against India at the Asia Cup last week on the reserve day organised for that game, and was ruled out of the tournament soon after

The scans on his shoulder turned out to be worse than anticipated, but there is hope as the Pakistan Cricket Board is seeking a second opinion.

If the second scan provide a similar results, then Naseem could miss out the whole tournament.
The 20-year-old is likely to miss the Test series against Australia in January 2024 and the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2024 as well.
Both Naseem and Haris Rauf were injured during their game against India, but Haris Rauf’s injury is not serious enough and he will be available for World Cup.
