Batting first, Rajshahi were powered by a fluent 65 off 46 balls from Sahibzada Farhan and a composed 41 from captain Najmul Hossain Shanto.

Despite regular breakthroughs, the Warriors posted a competitive 159/8. Rangpur’s bowling was led by Faheem Ashraf, who claimed three wickets, while Al Islam kept things tight in the middle overs.

In reply, Rangpur Riders were anchored by Dawid Malan’s unbeaten 63 and Towhid Hridoy’s classy 53. The chase went down to the final ball, with Mahmudullah being run out on the last delivery as Rangpur closed on 159/6, forcing the match into a Super Over.

The Super Over turned the spotlight firmly on Ripon Mondol. Tasked with bowling under immense pressure, Ripon delivered a disciplined over, conceding just six runs and picking up a crucial wicket, effectively tilting the contest in Rajshahi’s favour.
