Batting first, Noakhali Express endured a nightmare start as their top order collapsed under relentless pressure from the Sylhet bowlers.
Maaz Sadaqat was dismissed on the very first ball, caught behind off Mohammad Amir, and the trouble deepened when Habibur Rahman Sohan and Haider Ali also departed without scoring.
At 9 for 3 inside two overs, Noakhali were in deep trouble. Captain Shykat Ali attempted to steady the innings, but his 24 off 29 balls failed to generate momentum.
The innings was held together by Mahidul Islam Ankon, who played a calm and composed knock of 61 not out from 51 deliveries, absorbing pressure and keeping the scoreboard moving.
Support came late in the innings from Jaker Ali, whose aggressive 29 off 17 balls briefly lifted Noakhali’s scoring rate. However, regular strikes from Khaled Ahmed ensured Noakhali never truly escaped, and they finished on 143 for 7 from their 20 overs.
Khaled Ahmed was the standout bowler with an impressive 4 for 23, while Mohammad Amir and Saim Ayub also made vital contributions.
In reply, Sylhet Titans began just as poorly. Saim Ayub was dismissed for a duck, followed soon by Rony Talukdar and Zakir Hasan, leaving the chase on shaky ground.
Parvez Hossain Emon then produced the defining innings of the match, counterattacking with authority and composure. His 60 off 41 balls, featuring six fours and two sixes, rebuilt the innings and kept Sylhet on course.
Captain Mehidy Hasan Miraz supported him with a measured 33 off 37 balls, and at 117 for 3 Sylhet appeared well placed to seal the chase comfortably.
The match turned dramatically in the final five overs. Once Emon was dismissed, Noakhali stormed back into the contest with a flurry of wickets.
Mehedi Hasan Rana led the charge with four wickets, including a hat-trick, while Hasan Mahmud and Zahir Khan maintained relentless pressure.
Sylhet lost five wickets for just 25 runs, dragging the game into a tense final over. With two runs needed off the last ball, Ethan Brookes attempted a desperate run but was run out by Jaker Ali, sparking wild celebrations from the Sylhet camp.
Sylhet Titans eventually reached the winning line in the last ball.
