Competing this season under a new ownership and name, Sylhet have strengthened their squad both through the players’ draft and by signing additional overseas cricketers.
Following the draft, Sylhet have added several foreign players to their squad, with Moeen being the latest and most high-profile inclusion.
The former England international has previously featured in four BPL seasons for two franchises, most recently playing three consecutive editions up to 2024 for Comilla Victorians, where he won the title twice. This will be Moeen’s first appearance for the Sylhet franchise.
Earlier, Sylhet Titans also signed uncapped England cricketer Ethan Brooks, who recently impressed in the Vitality Blast. The 24-year-old caught attention with consistent performances across 14 matches, particularly with the bat. Known in the English T20 circuit for his all-round abilities, Brooks’ inclusion is expected to boost Sylhet’s squad strength further ahead of the new BPL season.
The upcoming BPL season is set to begin on December 26, with six teams participating in the 12th edition of the tournament.
