Pakistani star all-rounder Imad Wasim is set to light up the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) as he signs with Dhaka Capitals, adding significant strength and experience to the franchise ahead of the new season.

Having previously impressed in the tournament with Sylhet Strikers, Imad returns to the BPL after missing the last edition, giving Dhaka a major boost in both batting depth and spin-bowling firepower.

Ahead of the upcoming Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), Dhaka Capitals have assembled a strong squad. The franchise secured Saif Hassan and Taskin Ahmed before the players’ draft, and later added star overseas recruits Alex Hales and Usman Khan through direct signing.

Meanwhile, former Pakistan fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar will serve as the team’s mentor, while Toby Radford has been appointed as head coach. Radford may not have worked with the Bangladesh national team, but he has experience coaching the BCB’s High Performance (HP) unit.

From the draft, Dhaka picked up several notable local players including Shamim Hossain, Mohammad Saifuddin, Taijul Islam, and Sabbir Rahman. The squad also features experienced cricketers such as Nasir Hossain, Irfan Sukkur, and Mohammad Mithun.

With the signing of Imad, Dhaka Capitals have delivered yet another surprise as they continue to strengthen their lineup for the upcoming BPL season.
