Defending champions Lahore Qalandars have further strengthened their position in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) as the three-time title-winning franchise has renewed its contract for the next 10 years, confirmed owners Sameen Rana and Atif Rana.

In a statement released today, the Lahore Qalandars announced the renewal, resolving the ongoing issue surrounding their agreement in a matter of minutes. They also became the first team to disclose their contract extension officially.

On the same day, Multan Sultans also renewed their deal.

Reports suggest that Lahore Qalandars are currently the most valuable franchise in the PSL.

Although this has not been formally confirmed by either the franchise or the PCB, financial institution i-Mena has estimated the team’s annual valuation at around 980 million Pakistani Rupees, approximately 3.47 million USD.

Despite being valued at 980 million PKR, the Qalandars being the original franchise owners, will continue paying 300 million PKR less per year, meaning their annual payment stands at roughly 670 million PKR.
